How to install Targa Quick Media

Postby jeremy » Fri Jan 13, 2006 6:15 pm

Hi,

I deleted the Quick Media partition (to install Suse Linux) but now I want to reinstall it. I create a CD with the iso image that cames with the notebook, but when I boot from the CD it gaves me some errors and reboots.

Anyone knows how to reinstall the Quick Media?

Thanks.

If you want to install the quick media system there has to be free diskspace...

I did it that way:
*first i deleted all partitons from my system
*than i have created an partion for windows (fat32) with 24 gb
*after that i have installed the quick media system from the cd
*than you can create a partiton on the free diskspace

after that it should be possible to run the quick media application...

Hi, I am a new member. Hier the infos you wish:
The small start button activates always the second partition on the HD and the partition is mounted using Lilo, installed in the partition and started because the partition get activated. Moreover, the partiion should be of course a primary one. The First partition is normally the C partition.
How to reinstall Powercinema
- leave approximately 100 Mb free space after the C partition. You can keep max. 2 other primary partitions and 1 extended. You can do all that very easily and fast using a partitioning utility like Partition Magic or Partition Manager.
- Install the software using the original CD or a copy.
- install the upgrade
Done.
It is also possible to start the software installing a costum boot loader or from your Linux installation.
