misterious crash during download

Hello,

a few days ago my TT826 came back from repair.
They changed the power switch and did an update to bios 2.81.

Everytime I tried to download something (e-mails, files) greater than a couple of MBs, the system crashed completly.
Surprisingly the problem did not appear under windows.

Under linux I run Ubuntu 5.04 with the kernel 2.6.13 which I obtained from Michael Schmidt.

There were two solutions:
1.) Boot with acpi=off.
2.) Go back to bios 2.20 (the only older bios version I had on CD).

So if someone has the same problems, perhaps this will help him.
